Once Aryans began settled life Rishis, compiled number of vedic hymns which were later documented. Rig Veda the oldest book of Aryans was followed by Sama Veda, Yajur Veda and Atharva Veda. Later Brahmanas, Aryankas, Upanishadas, Epics of Ramayana and Mahabharata, Purana, Sushrut Samhita Charak Samhita Buddhist and Jain literature was compiled.
